Charles Benns, the "Pit-Bull", has a background in security and real estate.
He is a part-time dad in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He began racing arena trucks
in 2003. With the support of his sponsors and dedicated friends, he built a
fantastic truck that looked great and performed solidly on the racetrack. It is
a real "tuff-truck".

Charles used the Pit-Bull arena truck not only to win races, but also helped
kids in the Carrie Tingley Children's hospital in Albuquerque. When the Pit-Bull
arena truck won, the Carrie Tingley Children's hospital would win too. It was a
great thing.
Most times, Charles' Pit-Bull Racing arena truck would donate all race winnings,
collections taken up, and even his own money to the hospital. He took the truck to
the hospital to present donations and allow the kids a chance to see and touch a
race truck up close. Charles was a volunteer at the hospital in the late 1990's, and
it changed his life. He has always wanted to give something back, and this was it.
In addition to his work for Carrie Tingley Children's Hospital, Charles also makes
donations to "Locks of Love", an organization that makes wigs for children who have
lost their hair. He donates on average ten inches of his ponytail a year. His hair
grows very fast, and he loves to help kids. Not all long hairs are bad guys.
Spending time around the track and the bigger monster trucks made Charles want to
reach higher. He wanted to be a monster truck racer. But not just any truck, it had
to be something special, a real performer capable of getting Charles to the next level.
Bill Weaver's team filled that bill and then some. It is here that "Rambo" met "Pit-Bull",
and a new legend was created. What a merger! The future is limitless.
Charles wants to use the new Pit-Bull to help the hospital more than ever before.
He also wants to win races, and competitions of all types, build sponsorships and
appearances, and eventually become one of the most popular monster trucks ever.
The only thing he would rather be doing than racing is spending time with his
incredible teenage son, Zachary. If enthusiasm is hereditary we are sure to see
the next generation of monsters continue the family tradition in coming years.
